Book of Mormon Publication Site

The Book of Mormon was first printed and sold in the Grandin Building located in downtown Palmyra, New York. To this very building Joseph Smith brought the translation and agreed to print 5,000 copies. Martin Harris financed the publication by mortgaging half his farm to cover the $3,000 printing cost. Once completed the Book of Mormon was first available for purchase in 1830.
